some BADUGU(Badaga) SlOkaas(sayings/proverbs) –

I clollected around 1000 Badugu  SlOkaas/sayings. But as they were written 60 ot 70 years back, by the then elders in their then-freshly known tamil language,   the Actual pronunciations are not known. This is because  Tamil has no script for the series of letters starting with ga,ba, da, dha, qwa,gwa,   whereas such pronunciations are abundant in Badugu language, like in Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu etc,                                                                      So it is not possible to find the right pronunciation of the words written by them in Tamil. For eg, if they have written in tamil letter like eththu, there arises a confusion as to whether it is eththu or edhdhu; both eththu (bull) & edhdhu (get up) have different meanings. In this case we can analyse the whole sentence and guess the word to some extent, as some present elders know the words. But there are many words in the slOkaas which in either way of pronunciation, are not known even to the present elders. Hence even if well versed present elders sit together and discuss,  finding the meaning of them is  difficult now.  Here i present some slOkaas which i  analysed, probed, researched 40 years(1980s) ago and found the (appropriate) meaning.
